Rizzbase is a local-first encrypted database. Each project is one AES-256-GCM .rizz file on your machine. No cloud service, no accounts, no realtime network.

What just shipped in v1.2.0:

• Official installers (install.sh / install.ps1) with checksum verification
• Production Python SDK (mirrors the Node API)
• Shared Node/Python conformance suite so behavior doesn’t drift
• SDK no longer downloads the engine — resolution is binaryPath → RIZZBASE_BINARY → PATH
• Engine --version + format compatibility checks
• Lock diagnostics / doctor-style checks
• Retries for transient PROJECT_BUSY / timeouts
• Cursor pagination
• Signed releases + end-to-end SDK benchmarks

Why this exists: I wanted something closer to “SQLite for JSON documents” but with real encryption and a hard rule that the library never silently pulls a binary from the internet.
